Engine

100HP rotax 912uls

Less than 500 hours on the engine. The Rotax 912ULS provides an extremely reliable powerplant for the Kitfox 4. It was purchased and installed when the airplane was built in 2007. Rare to find a model 4 built in this century.

The fuselage was modified during the initial build out with the Sonora wide body kit. This gives the cockpit an extra 5" of shoulder and hip width. When paired with the bubble doors, it creates a space that feels larger than a series 7.

This Kitfox loves to fly! Having just flown N560KF over 65 hours around the country in July, and from California to Oshkosh three out of the past four years, this airplane is no stranger to long, cross country trips. Seriously ready for every adventure.

Faired Everything

The builder of N560KF wanted this plane to go FAST! It has cuffs and fairings on every surface. Basically emulating a speedster but with a standard wing. Includes airfoil lift struts, airfoil horizontal struts, airfoil jury struts, speedster tail, lift bracket cuffs, hoerner wingtips.

The N560KF baggage area has been built out and extended to fit all of the camping and travel gear you could need. Whenever I fly this airplane to Oshkosh, I carry over a week's worth of camping gear. In July I traveled for four weeks using only what I could fit in the plane.

Land Offroad

Full flaps stall speed around 36mph allows you to land anywhere your mate's Carbon Cub can land. Aero Classic 27.5" tires, Matco dual-caliper brakes, the T3 shock and ABI-3200 tailwheel provide the perfect offroad platform without compromising cruise speed. (ask me why I kept the spring gear)

Full carbon fiber, ground adjustable DUC Swirl 3 propeller provides a wide range of performance capabilities between cruise and climb.

Panel

modern simplicity

In 2021 I replaced the ancient radio, transponder, ELT and Garmin 396 with a Bluetooth Garmin GTR200 com, GTX345 transponder, E-04 ELT, Aera 660 and EchoUAT for ADSB In/Out. I also installed a magnetic mount for my iphone running Foreflight. This gives me enough primary information and backup to safely fly around the country.
